To everyone who attended the inaugural Eli Sunshine Benefit, to all of our sponsors and donors and volunteers, to all of our committee members, board members, family and friends:

thank you

Welcome to The Eli Morrison Sunshine Fund, where we find inspiration in the enduring spirit of a magical young boy who left an indelible mark on our hearts.  We are humbled and awed by the outpouring of love we’ve received from those whose lives have been impacted by Eli and his story.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to raise awareness and to fund research and trials to find a cure for Ewing sarcoma, and to bring sunshine to children and families living with childhood cancer.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

We have been overwhelmed by the love and kindness of people who have donated in Eli's name.  Family, friends, business associates, schools, religious institutions, and people we do not know have participated prior to June 9th, and subsequently to the establishment of The Eli Morrison Sunshine Fund.  All of this took place before we had created a fund or asked anyone to support the effort to implement a campaign.

We are proud to announce that in this brief time monies have been granted to Memorial Sloan Kettering and other institutions engaged in Ewing sarcoma research, and joy and comfort to the children and their families.  As of today, approximately $750,000 has been raised, and over $500,000 has been funded for research.

This is the beginning.  We hope to raise millions of dollars in the near term, collaborate with similar funds and foundations that share our mission, and be guided by the wisdom of our Medical Advisory Board.

We thank you for your time, love, and support.

FUNDED FOR RESEARCH

UNDERSTANDING EWING SARCOMA

Ewing sarcoma is a rare and aggressive form of cancer impacting bones and surrounding soft tissues. It poses significant challenges in treatment, particularly for cases that have spread or recurred. Approximately 350 cases are diagnosed annually in the United States, primarily in children and young adults. Despite being considered a “forgotten cancer” due to its rarity, sarcomas are the second most common bone cancer in children.
